Hello to my 9 AM students. I hope that each of you are either studying for your REGENTS EXAM, or this test on Monday. By the way, the 9 AM will not meet on Friday. Here are your sample open-ended questions (I will choose 4 out of the 5):

3) If you had the opportunity to ask (insert jazz pioneer here) a question concerning their time, what would you ask and why?
4) Jazz is a free-flowing form of music. Today, however, there are many institutions that offer doctoral degrees in jazz music. Do you feel that this is right, or do you feel that this stiffens the creative aspect of the performer?
5) Given the knowledge you have acquired concerning minstrel shows, how do you feel about them, and the possibility that they still exist in today's media?
